All my bags are lined with leather, functionality is very important for me, after working for over 20 years in the fashion industry it is something I learn. I design for men and ladies. My style is urban chic, mix of texture and leather, mix of old techniques and new ones. Each style can be made in different leather making them individual.

About Gilbert Dufour
Leather is for me the absolutely the NOBLEST material in the world:
Having worked for over twenty years in the fashion industry in Montreal, during which time I had a hand in all aspects of the business including design, manufacture and
offshore production, retail and wholesale.
I was in need for a new challenge in my life and I find it when a friend call me to say they where opening a new court at my former school in MAROQUINERIE, leather goods.
The second one was to move out and go to see something new; the best was to come down to Toronto.
I all way love to work with leather; I used to make accessories to complete my garments collection but noting to elaborate. I used to work for some leather garment industry
and make custom leather garment, I remember it was the so interesting.
Because it is from a live animal and for century it was use to survived in the cold weather. Now I use it, for the second part of my career and I enjoy very much it is a very
big challenge for me. For sure, my experiences in fashion help me very much with the conception of my collection but in the same time, I have to respect some special
technique in MAROQUINERIE work.
My leather goods, made by hand and like the old fashion way, and the approach I see for my work is like an architectural piece. You have to have a good structure (foundation)
and you can do anything after it, for the styling.
